A word from Sara Vida Montoya

I started everesttranslate in 2014 because the translations I was seeing from other agencies were correct but they were not good. They were technically accurate and completely flat at the same time. I felt they could do more. I still do.

What clients say

★★★★★

"The EU grant report translation was exactly what we needed. Terminology was consistent throughout, the document read naturally in English, and the team flagged two ambiguous passages in the original that we had not noticed ourselves."

Dr. Elena Moreno

Research Director, IIPA Albacete

★★★★★

"Fast, accurate and the certified documents were accepted first time. I was worried about the timeline and they managed it without any fuss."

James Carroll | Private client, Bristol, UK

★★★★★

"The subtitles captured the tone of the documentary. It was not a mechanical word-for-word job. The viewers at the festival could not tell it was a translation."

Claudia Torres | Producer, Valencia

Common questions

What is sworn translation (traduccion jurada)? +
A sworn or certified translation in Spain is produced by an official interpreter-translator (interprete jurado) registered with the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAEC). These carry an official stamp and signature and are accepted by Spanish government agencies, courts, embassies and universities worldwide. everesttranslate is registered as an official sworn translator for English, French and Portuguese.
Do you translate poetry and fiction? +
Yes. Literary translation is one of our specialisms. We translate novels, short story collections, poetry, essays and cultural texts. Literary translation requires a different approach to commercial translation and we discuss the specific challenges of each text before beginning. Not every text is suitable for direct translation and we will tell you if that is the case.
Can you translate video subtitles and captions? +
Yes. Our audiovisual translation service produces subtitle files in .SRT and .VTT formats. We follow reading speed parameters and segment subtitles correctly for each platform. For Netflix and Amazon Prime submissions we follow the platform-specific style guides. We also adapt dubbing scripts when full audio localisation is planned.
What languages do you work with? +
Our primary language pairs are Spanish-English and English-Spanish in both directions. We also work with French and Portuguese to and from Spanish. For German and Italian we work with trusted specialist partners and the same quality process applies. Contact us to discuss any other combination.
What is multilingual SEO content? +
Multilingual SEO content is not direct translation of existing articles. It involves researching what people search for in the target market, adapting or rewriting content to match local search intent, and ensuring that translated content ranks on its own merits. This is more involved than translation but the results are measurable.
What happens after I place an order? +
After payment we contact you within 1 business day to confirm the project details, agree on terminology preferences and set the delivery timeline. Work begins after that kickoff confirmation, not after payment. You receive files by email on the agreed date and have 7 days to request corrections at no extra cost.
